International Cooperation Development Sector

Roles and Responsibilities

Planning and developing economic cooperation with countries, economic and regional groups, international organizations, as well as agencies and institutions specializing in investment, loans, and financial and in-kind assistance, in order to secure the necessary funding for development plans and projects.

Organizing and coordinating cooperation with foreign non-governmental organizations to benefit from their expertise and capabilities in various development fields.

Proposing policies and plans for bilateral economic, technical, scientific and cultural cooperation, and benefiting from the experiences and advantages that countries possess in various fields.

Planning cooperation with Arab countries in economic, cultural, scientific, artistic and other fields.

Preparing and organizing various cooperation negotiations and joint committees in coordination with relevant parties.

Evaluate the cooperation programs offered by lending and donor agencies and develop proposals for making the best use of cooperation programs.

Monitoring the level of implementation of agreements and cooperation protocols and submitting periodic evaluation reports on them.

Maintaining up-to-date information about donors in their areas of expertise, objectives, legislation, structure, leadership, and work mechanisms, and utilizing this information to develop relationships.

Participating in international conferences and meetings related to its tasks and responsibilities.

Preparing regular reports and statements about its activities and achievements.

Any other tasks required by the nature of the work or assigned by the leadership of the ministry.
