Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Afrah Al-Zouba, participated today, via videoconference, in the 55th Joint Annual Meetings of the Arab Financial Institutions for 2026.

The meetings brought together ministers, governors, deputy governors, and representatives of Arab financial institutions to convene the Boards of Governors of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD), the Shareholders’ Assembly of the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (Dhaman), the Shareholders’ Assembly of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID), and the Supervisory Board of the Bader Fund for Small and Medium Enterprise Development.

During the meeting of the Board of Governors of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, participants approved the Board of Directors’ annual report on the Fund’s activities, the audited financial statements for the fiscal year ending 31 December 2025, appointed the external auditor for the 2027 financial year, and elected the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors.

Dr. Al-Zouba also chaired the 16th Annual Meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Bader Fund for Small and Medium Enterprise Development, held as part of the 55th Annual Meetings of the Arab Fund and the Arab financial institutions.

The meeting approved the Bader Fund’s 2025 Annual Report, endorsed the external auditor’s report and the Fund’s financial statements for the fiscal year ending in 2025, appointed an external auditor for the 2027 financial year, and approved the appointment of the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Supervisory Board for the next term.

The meetings were also attended by Eng. Wazirah Al-Sharmani, Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation for the Projects Sector.
